Steelway are involved on numerous railway upgrades and rail installation projects on the rail network throughout
the UK involving the design, supply, and installation of rail access structures
including staircases, walkways, steel platforms, guardrail systems and other railway upgrades.
We also
have supplied overhead masts and gantries for carrying electric cabling,
components including overhead swivel brackets and refurbished pulley
wheels.
Recent projects include the replacement of wooden staircases and platforms
with GRP fabrications to give access to signal boxes, access metalwork at St
Phillips Depot, Bristol and platforms for mounting signaling equipment at
track side on the Bletchley upgrade project, at Milton Keynes.
Steelway recommend involvement at the early stage of a project cycle by
giving support for project costing, design input and project presentation
graphics. This early involvement helps to reduce the cost of our element of the
project.
We have invested considerably in the last several years in design and
fabrication process including 3D inventor design software and laser cutting
technology. This coupled with our other recently introduced fabrication and
operating systems puts us at the leading edge of fabrication excellence.
